This displaylist consists of all the letters you need to send to apply for a taxi sticker. That cabbie license sticker is completely free when you serve 30 days in the military. I would hate having to do my taxes every year when I got out of the service, send them to the DoD stating the license number and verify my military status.
The good thing now is that you don't need to send that letter anymore. You can go on a website and apply for a sticker. The letter letting you know you qualified is mailed to a Los Angeles address but that's not important. You don't even need that letter. You just need to bring a legitimate DoD ID card to a DMV anytime, anywhere, and tell them you need a service connected license in order to get it. After they verify your ID and all is good, they'll punch your new address in and mail your very old, free tired and tattered sticker to you.
The picture above is what the DMV sent out to me to verify my address. They even offer to send it to my new address. LOL.
The address for DoD verification is PO Box 214019 San Angelo TX 76909. If you need a Big Blue Book, then send the DoD the copy of the service window letter and they'll send you one. Here is my letter which included all the data I graduated.
What a huge pain in the ass. If you want the license to even exist, then you'll have to send a letter to DoD and request it. When I got out of the service, service windows allowed all types of perks that didn't exist any longer. That included the use the Big Blue Book for free.
Check out the Big Blue Book Here. No clearly they don't need that address at this point. However, the more time they are out of the service, the more useless the whole process gets. The cab license is not valid until you have an address verified and that can take months.
One way to avoid this headache is to use that company Lyft and sign up and get a free shirt and become a cab driver. There is a waiting list for Uber that differed by state. They are OK for now. Uber, however, is where all the action is and they are popping up almost every week but they are definitely huge everywhere and busted the market. I've had fights with them but they have cheap insurance and most drivers have been all right guys. On other rideshare services, I've had drivers who are rude and unsafe.
Nobody is checking where you live and when you get your license revoked. It doesn't matter. Expect increasingly bad driving from that company. It's the greatest business I've ever seen. I'm entirely dependent on them to help me to make a living.
These letters I used above are not required any longer. The DMV will help you get the license and just prove some legit military information to the DMV.

I would not recommend anyone to even think of driving a cab in Connecticut. It's a big screw you needing to prove before they'll give you a license and screwing you thereafter. I served when I was 19. I never heard of that. I still had my DoD ID card till I was a couple years out of the service.

I'm in the old school market. North Houston, Texas. Lodge Brothers Cab Company, the largest American taxi company in the country. That cab license isn't valid in many places after a few years. After a lot of research you may need to apply for a new one with your DoD ID. That might be true for me too.

That's what they say. I have a license that says a year or so years ago.
I showed them my DoD ID. I've been out of the army for 14 years. They will have me for the rest of my pound of flesh.

I was in the Army for six years. If you don't, as I said above, they won't care where you live- they will just revoke your license- and not even notify you.
When you come back to the DMV, they will ask how you made money while you were gone.
You'll have to tell them you drove a taxi while you were in the service. And they will want to check with your city and see if you have a license through your city. Sometimes even after you are all set, the DMV will lose your information. You'll have to bring it back up again. Here's a link to get a taxi license from DoD. The DMV won't be that picky as long as you have it.

No matter the route, the DMV wouldn't respond to my request for a reprint of information. The DMV refused to allow me to sign up for online services as I had already done that before I got a license.
So I'm all right. Even when the unhelpful people at the DMV, I'm going to make money and get out of it. It's all paperwork but don't mess with me and don't assume a thing.

I did a few searches on driving cabs, that is legitimate- I found that didn't fit the bill and cost money too. Once you pay it, you have it.
Did you eat that yellow cab you were driving? You'd never see me again, though, I was going to be spending all my time driving cabs.
I have to get going. I mean, no, I've got like a couple of kids to put them in bed and drink some coffee and get to work.
There's no DoD offices in Omaha any longer. I think it's true even though DoD has done many changes in your service window. I guess that's not the point. The real question is that Do you want to get your free taxi license? That's legal even if the DMV refuses to cooperate by revoking your license. I'll see you in the cab.

How do you get your license? It's not a matter of printing that. A certain amount of money goes with driving a cab and it's not anything like you can make with normal work.

The old buddy sat on a kind of variable salary in the cab. I was excited to see some of the great guys that wanted to hang out with me in the cab but I was just driving a cab.
As long as you are in the cab, I'll have a great time. If you're having sad times in the cab, don't be sad about it. I've had plenty of money, I've had plenty of food, I've had plenty of women, I've had plenty of opportunities, and I've been doing it all wrong.

Greg B, We will be at this. That's what makes me laugh. It only takes a minute. It only takes a minute and then you are in the cab and you can drive it all day. You don't even need to annoy yourself with the useless work you typically do. When I use it depending on where you live, you might be able to get someone to give it to you, which would be illegal. If that were to be illegal that would be an entirely different issue. I have been doing this a long time and the DMV still threatens to revoke my license but that's just something I can do.

If you live in Missouri, good luck. You are all out the window if you're in the cab. That license is good, but their process, that Missouri's mailing address, and they could be driving anywhere so they need to send your cab permit anywhere.
You can do that today. You have a way to make money and have fun doing it. That license should take about 30 days and that would be good if you weren't in the cab. The card should be able to last you at least that long. The mailing address would not be safe anymore.
